Who We Are
North East Pensioners Support Group Ltd is a company limited by guarantee. We are a not-for-profit organisation working to support pensioners, older people and senior citizens across the North East of England.
We carry out this work through practical support, information, awareness campaigns, partnerships with other organisations, lobbying Government and public bodies, and fundraising for projects that benefit older people and their communities.
Why We Exist
Too many older people are not receiving the support they need, are missing out on benefits they are entitled to, face rising costs they cannot afford, and encounter barriers to accessing services, transport and community life.
We exist to help change that. We oppose age discrimination in all its forms, advocate for fair pensions and income, support people to access welfare rights, and work to influence those with the power to make a difference for older people across the region.
Our Approach
We take a practical, evidence-based and community-rooted approach to everything we do. We work collaboratively with partners, local authorities, advice providers, welfare rights organisations, funders and community groups to achieve the best outcomes for older people.
Our campaigning is always non-party-political. We focus on practical outcomes, not political positioning. We engage constructively with decision-makers of all backgrounds who have the power to make things better for older people.
We believe in transparency, clear governance, data protection, and responsible use of any funds raised or received. We aim to be credible and trustworthy to funders, partners, older people and the wider public.
Open to All Ages
While our primary focus is supporting older people, pensioners and senior citizens, membership and involvement is open to people of all ages who support our aims. Many of our supporters are family members, carers, professionals and community advocates who care about the wellbeing of older people in the North East.

North East Pensioners Support Group Ltd is an independent legal entity. It does not govern or speak on behalf of any other national or regional pensioners’ organisation. Any formal partnerships or collaborative arrangements will be clearly identified.
